Terms and Conditions
Items are described with a critical eye.
You will not find the terms MINT or PERFECT on our website, as I feel they are neither appropriate or accurate.
200 year old items have been handled at least a few times in their life and however good their condition that strictly renders them less than mint.
Similarly perfect implies that an item does not have the slightest defect, spec or bubble in the glaze or body and having worked with ceramics for over 25 years I know this is highly unlikely to be the case. This is the reason modern manufacturers use the terms first quality or best quality.
Prices are exclusive of postage. We have extensive experience of packing and posting worldwide and use good quality packing materials. All goods are sent trackable and with insurance.
Postage and packing is charged at cost. Typically a cup and saucer would cost £6 to UK, £9 to Europe, £12 Worldwide and a plate £9 to UK, £11 to Europe and £16 Worldwide
We naturally hope you will be delighted with your purchase.
If for any reason there is a problem with your purchase please contact us within 7 days of receipt. If you decide an item is not suitable for any reason, and you wish to return it for a refund please contact us within 7 days, and return the item suitably packed and insured, at your cost, within 21 days. On safe receipt of the item, in the same condition as despatched, will refund the purchase price of the item but not your return postage costs.
If we have made an error with the condition of the item we will of course refund postage costs in both directions. Please consider our items are generally 150-200 years old and were made to differing manufacturing standards to modern items. Odd pinpricks and spots of kiln dirt in the glaze and other minor manufacturing flaws are not uncommon - we can only mention those that are most noticeable. The images supplied are part of the item description. Please e-mail us for more detail on condition or further images if necessary, we will be happy to oblige.
