Budleia Basket Stand Probably Spode c.1800

A pearlware basket stand transfer printed in the Buddleia pattern. The stand has a pierced lattice rim and is unmarked apart from a printed workman's mark. The stand is probably by the Spode factory, and matches examples of the pattern Robert Copeland attributes to Spode.

The stand is 9.3 inches (23.5cm) long by 7.2 inches (19.5cm) wide and weighs 230g.

The stand is in good condition. There is just a hairline to the pierced rim at 10 o'clock, as illustrated. There are no other chips, cracks, or restoration. There are a few minor utensil marks.
